How far in advance should I book a kids party in Glasgow?

Weekend dates, and anything close to Christmas or the school holidays, tend to go first. If you have a date in mind it is always worth checking availability early — send it over and we will confirm whether it is free.

What areas do you cover?

We regularly travel across Glasgow, Lanarkshire, East Kilbride, Paisley, Renfrewshire, Ayrshire, Cumbernauld, Hamilton, Motherwell, Coatbridge, Airdrie and surrounding areas. If you are slightly further out, just ask.

Which kids disco package should I choose?

Accepted Answer

There are three, all two hours. The Funky Disco Party (£250) is the fully hosted party with a DJ, music, dancing, party games and prizes. The Glow & Laser Party (£300) adds UV lighting and lasers for a proper glow-party atmosphere. The Mobile Nightclub Experience (£350) is our premium setup with a DJ booth, big speaker system, lasers, UV lights and premium LED scanners.

Question 4

Does the Glow & Laser Party need a dark room?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The UV and laser effects only look right in a room that can be blacked out or kept dark. If your hall has a lot of daylight and no blinds or curtains, tell us when you enquire and we will point you to the package that will work better in that space.

Question 5

Can we add extra time to the party?

Accepted Answer

Yes — additional hours can be added to a kids disco package at £50 per hour. Extra time is optional and depends on availability on the day, so ask when you enquire and we will confirm.

Question 6

Do you supply everything for the party?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We bring the DJ, sound system, disco lighting, games and prizes, and we handle setup and pack-down. You supply the venue, the guests and the cake.

Are you insured?

Accepted Answer

Yes — we hold public liability insurance up to £10 million. If your venue needs written confirmation for their own records, ask when you enquire.

Is your equipment PAT tested?

Accepted Answer

Yes — our electrical equipment is PAT tested. Some halls and schools ask for this before an event, so let us know if you need confirmation.

What ages are your kids discos suitable for?

Accepted Answer

Discos are tailored on the day to the age group in the room, from nursery and early primary through to upper primary. Tell us the age range when you enquire and the music, games and pace are matched to it.

What ages are Nerf parties for?

Accepted Answer

Our Recruit Battle Pack is aimed at ages 5 to 12, while the Battle & Boogie Party is described for ages 5 to 16 and the Mega Mayhem and Ultimate packages for ages 7 to 16. Up to 20 players are included, with more available on request.

Can you work in our local hall or at home?

Most parties are in community halls, school halls, sports halls, function suites and hotels. Home parties can work where there is enough safe space — let us know the venue and we will advise.

How much space do you need for the setup?

Accepted Answer

A standard hall stage area or corner is usually plenty for the DJ setup, with the rest of the floor kept clear for dancing and games. For Nerf parties a larger clear space such as a sports or church hall works best.

How long should a communion, christening or naming day party be?

Accepted Answer

Most family celebrations run longer than a birthday party because there is a meal, photographs and family arriving at different times. Family Celebration Entertainment is available as 3 hours at £275, 4 hours at £325 and 5 hours at £375, and the 4-hour option suits most communions, christenings and naming days.

Do the children have to dance for the whole three to five hours?

Accepted Answer

No — and they would not want to. The entertainment changes naturally through the day: a DJ and family-friendly disco, party games, karaoke, challenges and quieter activities such as colouring-in, model making and glitter tattoos in between. Children join in when they are ready, take a break, do an activity, then come back to the party.

What happens if the children are shy at the start?

That is completely normal when parents and family are in the room. We start gently while families arrive and eat, then bring in kids music, games and activities once the children are comfortable — nobody is put on the spot.

Is this a crafts party?

Accepted Answer

No. It is disco, games and activities, with crafts such as colouring-in, model making and glitter tattoos used as one part of the mix between the more energetic sections.

Can the adults join in as well as the children?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The entertainment does not have to be just for the children — we can include games, karaoke and challenges that involve parents, grandparents and other adults, and the music is chosen for the room and adjusted as the day goes on.

Do you fit around the meal, speeches and photographs?

Accepted Answer

Always. Send us your running order when you enquire and we will plan the disco, games and activities around the meal, cake, speeches and photographs, with natural breaks while the family catches up.
